World Relief Employment Services assists adult refugees in obtaining stable employment. We provide support and develop resources so that families can regain the dignity of self-sufficiency through having a valuable job in their new community.
Individual and Group Support: We provide support during job searches, the job application process, as well as with interviews and job orientations.
Assessments: We review the skills, education, and employment histories of our clients in order to determine a tailored service plan.
Job Referrals and Placement: We connect work-ready refugees and local employers in a mutually-beneficial relationship.
Pre and Post-Employment Counseling: We work to ensure successful job retention by addressing any job-related concerns.
Job Development: We desire to build long-term relationships with local employers that result in job matching at zero cost to the employer as well as the refugee.
Community Engagement: In all of this, we seek to increasingly engage the local church. Churches and volunteers play an intergral role in coming alongside refugees and assisting them with employment, higher education, transportation, and budgeting.
In support of further development of an Appleton Job Placement and Training program, World Relief Fox Valley is the recipient of a general grant from United Way Fox Cities, which is made possible through the generous support of community donors.
