Coming home

Tuesday, November 27, 2018
11am – 8pm

Outer Edge Stage
303 N Oneida Street
Appleton, WI  54911

Having welcomed over 800 refugees in the past 6 years, World Relief Fox Valley is creating an opportunity for others to better understand and appreciate the journeys of refugees from around the world. This #GivingTuesday, November 27, join us for an interactive replication of the “coming home” experience for refugees, highlighting a glimpse of their pasts and sharing ways we can provide hope for their future. Get a sense for what it’s like to have to flee your home at a moment’s notice, travel through unforeseen physical hardship, live in a refugee camp, hope for resettlement, and begin a new life in the U.S.

11am-8pm – “coming home” experience

  • We recommend planning up to one hour for the experience

  • “coming home” appropriate for most school-aged children and above (no childcare provided)

  • No admission fees and no reservations required

Please let us know if you are bringing a group of 6 or more so we are better prepared to serve you

6pm– 7pm – Program; music and stories that capture refugees’ journeys home
“coming home” experience closed during the program.
